Portfolio Accounting

GL, accruals, fees, P&L, trial balance, NAV — every entry traceable to the originating transaction.

Portfolio Accounting produces the books of record: general ledger, accruals schedule, fee calculation (management and performance), P&L statement, trial balance, and NAV. Double-entry from every transaction with a full audit trail — and the same calculation engine that drives live reporting also produces the monthly/quarterly close.

General Ledger

Can I see the GL for the fund, with every debit and credit traceable to a transaction?

Double-entry general ledger with every journal entry sourced from a specific trade, corporate action, accrual, or fee. Drill from an account balance down to the originating transaction in a single click. Reproducible at any point in time.

Accruals Schedule

What is accruing between pay dates — dividends, coupons, interest, fees?

Per-position accrual schedule for dividends, bond coupons, interest, fee expenses, and performance-fee crystallization. Daily accrual rolls forward to the NAV and the P&L so intra-period returns are accurate to the day.

Fee Calculation

What are my management and performance fees for this period, and how are they computed?

Management fees accrued daily at the annual rate applied to NAV. Performance fees calculated against high-water mark and hurdle rate with configurable crystallization (annual, quarterly). Full derivation available so clients see exactly how the fee number was produced.

P&L Statement

What did the fund earn this period, broken into income, gains, and expenses?

Formal P&L statement split into investment income, realized gains, unrealized appreciation/depreciation, FX P&L, and operating expenses. Comparable to any period and reconciled line-by-line to the general ledger.

Trial Balance

Do my debits equal my credits — and where did any out-of-balance come from?

Pre-NAV trial balance across all GL accounts with automatic out-of-balance detection. Highlights the specific journal entry responsible so close can proceed without a manual hunt.

NAV Calculation

What is my fund's NAV at the close of the period, and can I defend it?

Daily NAV struck from the GL with valuations from Pricing, accruals rolled forward, and fees booked. Every component auditable — market value, accrued income, accrued expenses, investor activity. Share-class aware for multi-class funds.
